We may not be the oldest nanny agency in Seattle, but we have pioneered most concepts that are being used by every agency in current operation.

Seattle Nanny is the first nanny agency to have a website and became the first to add online applications.

We are the first to have had corporate offices, when at the time the industry was entirely home based. We were the first agency to have televised commercials promoting our business and the industry as a whole.

Regarding the screening process, Seattle Nanny has raised the bar for all agencies by being the first to run background checks in not just Washington State, but every state the nanny has lived in. (Although you may run into agencies who have similar paperwork, be assured that Seattle Nanny is the originator of this concept and this paperwork, in the local industry.) Seattle Nanny was the first agency to add an exam to the screening process, testing the applicants’ degree of knowledge in child development. Since this was a national first, and not just local, the company who designed the exam (Lifework Strategies) marketed this concept to all nanny agencies nationwide in an attempt to enhance the screening process. We were the first to have a newsletter, the Seattle Nanny News, and the first to have an educational lending library for nannies.

As a nanny agency we have revolutionized the local industry, and we are always striving for improvement. One thing, however, has not changed since our inception: exemplary customer service and end results we can be very proud of.
